Christian ministry begins at baptism.  In the waters of baptism, we are born into a new life of service to God and God’s people.  Join us in any of our existing ministries or help us find new ways to serve.

Acolytes:  lead worship as torch bearers, crucifer, etc.

 

Altar Guild:  prepares the church for worship

 

Eucharistic Ministers:  administer the chalice at communion

 

Choir:  leads the people in song during worship and at other events

 

Daily Office Officiants:  lead Daily Morning and Evening Prayer

 

Intercessors:  lead the Prayers of the People during worship

 

Lay Readers:  proclaim Scripture during worship

 

Liturgical Arts Guild:  creates liturgical hangings, vestments, and other

                                                items for use in our worship

 

Liturgical Dance Guild:  uses dance as another means of worship during                                                                     special liturgies

Liturgical Ministries

The Episcopal Churchwomen:  meets regularly for fellowship and to 

                                                                  plan activities within and without the 

                                                                  parish

 

The St. Francis Guild:  oversees and carries out improvement of the

                                                churchyard as a means of welcoming the 

                                                surrounding community

 

The St. Agnes Guild:  knitters and other handicrafters prayerfully make

                                             goods for distribution to those in need locally and

                                             Abroad

 

Operation Christmas Child:  annual participation in the Samaritan’s

                                                            Purse Ministry, distributing Christmas gifts

                                                             around the world

 

Christmas Dinner:  a Christmas day liturgy and feast for anyone

 

Vacation Bible School:  held in conjunction with St. Luke’s/St. Anne’s,

                                                         Plymouth Presbyterian Church, and St. Joan

                                                         of Arc Roman Catholic Parish

 

Grace Gives:  a yard sale like atmosphere where everything is free,

                                  held annually

 

Grace A.C.T.S. (Arts and Children’s Theater in the Summer):  a

                                  week- long, free, drama camp for elementary and middle

                                  school-aged children, ends with a presentation for the                                                          community

 

The Episcopal Youth Community:  a youth group for grades 7-12 that 

                                                                          meets weekly to share a meal,

                                                                          fellowship, fun, and study

 

The Young Adult Group:  meets twice a month for fellowship and program

 

Grace Embraces:  produces the monthly newsletter

 

Paper Clip Angels:  folds the weekly bulletins and monthly newsletter

Mission Guilds, Organizations, and Annual Events

Alcoholics Anonymous:  meets Tuesday evenings at 7 p.m.

 

Washington County Habitat for Humanity:  the parish regularly

                                                                 contributes to the work of Habitat

                                                                 through financial donations and through

                                                                 the donation of office space for the    

                                                                 organization
